Concert Choir

Singing is a powerful, personal form of expression. In Concert Choir, students focus on foundational techniques of singing to shape that expression. Concert Choir is an SAB/SATB ensemble that meets daily during the school day and hosts two concerts per school year. Throughout the year, students grow musically, academically, socially, and individually through performance and enrichment opportunities on and off campus. We employ sight singing practice, vocal health exercises, and music literacy skills to bring our fun and diverse repertoire to life on stage. If you like to sing in the shower, the car, or with your friends, Concert Choir may be for you!

Chamber Choir

These are the best voices Batavia has to offer. This auditioned choral ensemble works hard every school day to take the foundational skills we have learned in Concert Choir and apply it to more challenging repertoire. This process strengthens students’ personal musicality while providing exciting off-campus opportunities to the whole ensemble. Chamber Choir hosts 2 concerts per school year, but extends their reach beyond Batavia’s walls through participation in OMEA Solo and Ensemble, regional honor choirs, Cincinnati’s Music in the Parks, and Batavia local events. Students who want to audition for Batavia’s spring musical, participate in collegiate choral ensembles, enrich their choral experience through off campus opportunities, or just advance their own vocal abilities are encouraged to audition for this ensemble!
