7th Grade Band

Seventh Grade Band is a class for second-year instrumental performers.  We pick up right where Beginning Band left off and build on those concepts to prepare for a Winter Concert in December and a Spring Concert in April.  Seventh Grade Band members are assigned quarterly playing checks on Google Classroom and are expected to practice at home to prepare for those playing checks.  Students who excel at their instruments and are regularly practicing at home may be invited to perform in Honor Bands or OMEA Solo and Ensemble Contest. Beginning in the 2024/2025 school year, the 7th grade band has been split into two groups due to the size of the ensembles. The two separate classes combine to perform one concert in December and one in April.
