8th Grade Band

Eighth Grade Band is a class for third-year instrumental performers.  These students begin their eighth grade year with a marching performance at a Batavia High School varsity football game.  They are also the performing ensemble at BMS Pep Rallies during the school year.  These experiences prepare them for high school Pep Bands, and 8th graders are invited to perform alongside high school Pep Band students at BHS Varsity basketball games. Just like in 6th and 7th grade, these students perform at the Winter and Spring Concerts in December and April.  Students who excel at their instruments may be invited to perform in Honor Bands or OMEA Solo and Ensemble Contest.
